Welcome to Camp Lucky Dog! Decorating this little cabin is always a highlight of the holiday season and this is where we usually spend Christmas so it is full of wonderful memories of our family as it grew through the years.
We completed the renovation of the kitchen last year and I have so enjoyed having this space to cook and bake in. My husband, Billy, has an account on Instagram where he shared pics of the cabin if you want to follow along. I style and take the pics and he shares them so it's a real team effort. You can follow along @campluckydog.
I added a full size tree to the kitchen this year strictly for my own enjoyment. I like to bake my Christmas cookies here so it's nice to have the warm glow of the tree by the fire while I'm doing that.Of course I always have my #1 helper by my side. Dax love spending time at Camp Lucky Dog too!
The kitchen table is a popular spot at cabin and nothing makes me happier than having all of my kids gathered around this table. The family room is up next on our list of renovations for 2023. We will be replacing the carpeting with wood and finally getting rid of that popcorn ceiling in here. We will also be re-doing the fireplace wall but I'm not 100% sure exactly what we will do but I do know it will be budget friendly and there will be no trace of that reddish brown brick and brown grout when we are done! We are really excited to get going on that project. The tree in here is new this year and I love it! It's 9 ft tall and we found it at Home Depot and fills the room and the whole cabin with holiday cheer. I made a log cabin tree topper from an unfinished wood bird house that we painted to match the exterior of our cabin. This is the view from the family room towards the kitchen.I didn't get to take any pics of the cabin the snow yet this year so I'm adding a couple from last year and I'm looking forward to everything looking like this soon. And finally, here is a peek of our family Christmas card this year. Most of the pictures were taken at the cabin because most of our happiest moments happened here this year throughout all the seasons. Full disclosure, we have had our fair share of struggles this year as all families do. And also? I feel so lucky to be surrounded by so much love and laughter - these kids and my family are my world. From our family to yours, we wish you a very happy holiday season!
Beautiful, absolutely gorgeous

DeleteI just love your cabin, we have a small cabin that would probably fit in your living room in the mountains in NC, but feel so blessed to have it, I love your Cabin sign in your kitchen, am looking for one, is it a one of a kind, everything is just perfect, my dream would be to have my family’s Christmas at ours but a little small for 14 of us, Merry Christmas!!🎄
DeleteIt's all so cozy and inviting! How can you stand to leave this little jewel ?? That picture of the porch with the rocking chairs and the snow all around? That would be my happy place. Thank you so much for sharing all this Christmas wonderful-ness!!
ReplyDeleteIt is hard to leave the cabin but just knowing it's there waiting for us brings me peace on the difficult days when we're hard at work in NJ. Thanks so much for stopping by and for your kind words. Merry Christmas!

ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas! Enjoy the decorating process, if you slowly work at building traditions and collecting items that reflect the things you love, your home will end up being just as lovely, but even more so because it will be yours!!
DeleteWarm, charming and absolutely magical! I love it all. That knotty pine wins my heart and your beautiful ornaments and vignettes are perfection! Happy Holidays!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jeanie! Merry Christmas

ReplyDeleteThe porch is a favorite place of mine too. Happy Holidays!
DeleteGood Morning sweet friend. The cabin is so inviting and gorgeous for the holidays. What a beautiful place to escape during the holiday time. Happy Holiday Season to you and Billy and the boys. xoxo Kris
ReplyDeleteHello Kris!! I miss catching up with you. I hope Terry and the girls are well. Sending lots of love this holiday season.
DeleteI 100% love it! Love the Susan Branch book open in the kitchen. The red glass-doored cabinet--I have a couple from Target which hold a part of my typewriter collection--love them. The whole space is just eye-candy-lovely-cozy goodness!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! I love that little red cabinet from Target - a typewriter collection must look great in there. Happy Holidays
DeleteThank you for letting us see your beautiful cabin.
ReplyDeleteYou're very welcome. Thank you for visiting!
DeleteLove everything you've done for the holidays! Do you play holiday music or have a holiday movie playing in the background when baking? I sometimes do.......puts one even more in the spirit. As always, thank you for sharing your creativity and home with your readers. Happy Holidays to you/your family!!
ReplyDeleteYes! I almost have some sort of music or podcast on when I'm spending time in the kitchen. I agree, music adds to the holiday spirit. Happy Holidays to you too!
DeleteI can never decide which is my favorite season at your house - they're all so wonderful. But Christmas is definitely up there.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a magical place! The dogs just make it perfect.
ReplyDeleteAs always, I love your Christmas decorations! You inspire me every year. Merry Christmas to you and your family and wishing you the happiest and healthiest new year!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE both of your homes! Oh how I wish you would post links to your current year decor additions!
ReplyDeleteYour style of decorating is so much what I like. It's just so pretty. I think you should paint the brick or do a "schmear" on them. I see items in your pictures that I actually own. That gives me ideas as to what to do with them. Love it all!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Courtney. I have surely missed you posting this year, however I am so, so happy that you are sharing your decorating delights with us here in blogland.
ReplyDeleteLove your use of reds and greens and just all the joy of loving what you do. May you have a most blessed Christmas.
