Today, let's take a peek inside our family room, all decked out for the holidays. I already shared our new European Fir Christmas Tree in an earlier post. I love how much cheer this large tree adds to this space.
I decided go with a Classic Christmas look this year and kept things pretty simple on the mantel with a pretty plaid bow on the garland and the rocking reindeer taking center stage. Nothing on the mantel is new this year.
Most of the throw pillow have been collected through the years. The Woody pillow from Pottery Barn has been a favorite from several years now.
The chair by the fire is the coziest reading spot in the house.
I set up a little table in the corner of this room and it's become a busy spot to play games, wrap presents and do homework.
Finally, a sweet picture of Dax. What would we do without Dax?? We are all missing Keeper something fierce and I just want to thank you all for the messages about her loss. It feels doubly hard to lose her at this time of year, but let's face it, there is never a good time to lose a dog.
Thanks so much for all of your lovely comments about our holiday home. Every single one of them truly warms my heart! For my next post, we'll head up to our master bedroom and bathroom. I still haven't added ANY decor to the outside of our house. Need to get to work on that ASAP, but I think it might just end up being a wreath on the front door this year. Have a great day!
First off, I am sooo very sorry to hear of Keeper's passing. She was a beautiful Golden. As you know, we are a Golden Family as well. They are just the sweetest. My thoughts and prayers are with you as you all celebrate this season without your precious girl.
ReplyDeleteAnd as always, your home is one of my very favorites at Christmastime. I finally found a Golden pillow like yours last year, and then found another this year for our daughter (she has one too).
Looks like right out of a magazine. How cozy and beautiful Courtney. You never disappoint with your decor. I just want to come over and hang out through the holiday season in your house. Can't wait to see your bedroom next. Happy Friday. Have a great weekend.

I was wondering how tall your kitchen ceiling is and how distant down did you hang the pot rack? Still, my favorite room in your domestic but it is all so beautiful. Best aluminum dolly
