I love decorating for fall and this year our fall home is one of several homes featured in the Autumn issue of Country Sampler Farmhouse Style magazine. I have to admit it is a bit difficult to see my home styled and photographed by someone else, it just doesn't have the same "feel" to it, but it's exciting nonetheless.
I always enjoy beginning my fall decorating in our family room. I brought in a few oldies, but goodies, to this space. I still love this pallet sign that I made many years ago. I joked on Instagram about how my husband used to bring me home pallets he found on patrol when he was a police officer like some guys bring their wives flowers. :)
Our gallery wall is always fun to change with the seasons.
I always enjoy adding an eclectic mix of throw pillows to our sectional. They give some life to the big beige piece of furniture in the middle of the room. This is the FARLOV sectional in beige from Ikea. We have washed the slipcover on this sofa several times and I am happy to say it is holding up very well. Weve had lots of different slipcovered pieces from Ikea through the years, and this one is extremely durable. I always recommend choosing the beige fabric over white fabric. The white gets dingy pretty quickly in a busy house and beige is MUCH more forgiving, even more so than you'd think.
I have a few vintage paint-by-numbers on display in this room. I enjoy searching for them at garage and vintage sales.
My latest paint-by-number find is in the center of our gallery wall. I was so excited to find it in our travels this summer.
I look forward to fires in the fireplace soon. We just had 2 cords of firewood delivered and it's all stacked and ready to go. Bring on the chilly nights!
Our front entryway, just off the family room, got a few fall touches as well.
You can see a peek into our upstairs living room in our pictures that I will share that and our kitchen soon!
Finally, a quick fall "hello" from our pups, Dax and Keeper!
Thanks for stopping by today! Have you started decorating for Fall yet?
Your fall home is BEAUTIFUL! And despite magazine stylists, I recognized your place right away in the magazine photos before even reading -- I'm surprised they felt a need for styling as you have a wonderful sense of style all your own! I love all your PBN's and kind of gasped as I saw your Hudson's Bay one as I just bought that kit last weekend at an oldtime Ben Franklin near our Up North cabin (my winter project); I love your new PBN find too! Oh, and I also LOVE your Autumn pallet board sign on the mantel - so pretty! Autumn Blessings to you and yours, + Dax & Keeper! Thank You for Always Inspiring!
ReplyDeleteCourtney you never disappoint with your decorating. This is so pretty and cozy for fall. Congrats on the feature. I will have to get a copy of this to see you home featured. Your home is so magazine worthy. Hope all is well with you and the boys.

Where do you keep everything that's not out for the season? My husband is crazy over the number of pillows I have!!!!
ReplyDeleteYour home looks amazing! As always, I love seeing how you decorate around your console table. I am sure you are loving these cooler nights and mornings. The temps are getting me motivated to decorate and now that I see what you done...I want to start now! Love seeing those precious doggies as well. Enjoy your weekend, Courtney!

Courtney, you fall looks so pretty and Dax and Keeper are the sweetest! I love paint by numbers and always look for them but have never found one. I am trying to paint one myself as I found a company that reproduces them and they look just like the originals, but after a little bit I found out that my eyes don't like all those little places, so guess I will just keep looking. Yours are really pretty ones..Happy Weekend..Judy
ReplyDeleteLove it~ How beautiful! Thank you for sharing!
