For most of us, this time of year is all about getting cozy and spending more time at home. I recently decided that our master bedroom was in need of a bit of a makeover before the true nesting season of fall and winter begins.
We kept things simple and classic and focused on creating the most comfortable bed that we possibly could. Our old mattress was over 10 years old and we were both dealing with some aches and pains in the morning. We had been testing out mattresses everywhere we went and began looking into online options. I think more and more of us turn to online shopping these days for both the convenience and the affordable quality. Still, it can be a bit daunting to make such a large and important purchase online.
So I was super excited for the opportunity to work with Saatva for this project. Saatva uses eco-friendly materials to create luxury mattresses delivered right to your door, all for a great price. I took time to peruse their website and, after reading many reviews, decided on the luxury firm mattress for us. I felt safe in ordering, knowing that I would have 120 days to return the mattress if I wasn't happy with it. It took under 2 weeks for the mattress to arrive. In that time, I was contacted by text message (my favorite form of communication!) with additional information about specifics regarding how tall both the mattress and the box spring that I had chosen were. I appreciated the extra information in making such an important purchase sight unseen. Our mattress was delivered by a professional and courteous white glove delivery service. We were all very happy on mattress delivery day, dogs included!
The cherry on top of the cake of our new mattress is the new sheets. I have discussed many times how picky I am with sheets. Lets's face it, just after the mattress, the sheets (literally!) make the whole bed. Saatva Dreams also makes luxury sheets and we couldn't wait to try them out on our new bed.
We chose the Lofton Organic Sheets in white and they truly completed the luxurious feel that we were hoping for. These sheets are made with an organic 300 count breathable cotton weave that feels soft as silk on your skin. Climbing into our bed that first night, I felt like I was staying at a luxury five star hotel. When we woke up the next morning, we knew this mattress was the right choice. I thin Dax's face in the picture below is an accurate illustration of how we felt that morning.
To complete our bedroom refresh, we added a new mantel shelf above our bed and also added a new round mirror over the dresser. I also picked up a few new bedding items from Ballard Designs, including the quilted pillow shams and bedskirt.
If you find yourself in the market for a new mattress or sheets, I highly recommend you check out Saatva. I'm pretty sure our dog, Dax, agrees!
Such a pretty room and your new mattress is fabulous
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful room! I have always wanted a bookcase in ours. And, Dax is the sweetest.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that you are happy with it. We've been mattress shopping on an off for awhile but never seem to commit to anything. (It's probably why my back is always sore!) It's nice to know that they use eco-friendly materials too. I will definitely check them out! Dax makes the perfect model...oh that face! Enjoy your weekend, Courtney!
