I was excited to change things up for spring in our family room this year. I started with the gallery wall, adding a few items that I already had in storage to create a botanical feel to the space.
I gave all of the white slipcovers in this room a good bleaching and changed out all of the throw pillows. I am really enjoying the fresh and crisp feel with all of the black, white with pops of green and yellows.
I even changed the furniture arrangement a little bit by putting the sofa in the middle of the room.
I added some spring to the fireplace with the windmill decoration that I recently picked up at HomeGoods. I am seeing elements of these everywhere on Instagram and blogs.
I love the soft, comfortable beauty of your rooms. I'm new to your blog and looking forward to enjoying your charming style.

Thanks Kris!
DeleteThe house looks great. I love your gallery wall. It is always fun to see how you change it. You have inspired me to spruce up the house and put away the winter pillows and throws. Longer days and warmer weather is just around the corner. I still don't know how you can have a white sofa! I am thinking about going with leather, I am so tired of vacuuming dog hair off of it! But "shed happens" and I wouldn't give up my golden! That picture of Dax just makes me want to reach out and give him a hug! Beautiful post! I enjoyed it.

Thanks Chris! I always enjoy changing up the gallery wall. The white sofa isn't nearly as difficult to keep up with as you might think. A big bonus is the dog hair doesn't show on it and I love being able to throw it in the washer and start fresh. Aaah, the dog hair has been driving me nuts. I agree, they are worth all the vacuuming. Have a great week!
DeleteLooks beautiful Courtney!Happy Spring!
ReplyDeleteI always look forward to your posts, Courtney and they are never disappointing!! I LOVE the way you brightened everything up for spring. Though the weather here in the tristate area says snow for Friday and a cold weekend (Im out on eastern Long Island) I grab the first chance to change things up for the upcoming warmer months!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Spring!
Your home is so lovely, Courtney! Touches of green and yellow feel like spring to me, too! Your pup is a heartstealer!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty, and look how big your pup is! Happy Spring!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, as always - and that photo at the end is that the baby, Dax? What a great photo, you captured his spirit!! Love your home, I'm not quite ready to bring in spring yet although soon.....I started gathering spring pillow covers but, like you, want to wash the slipcovers also. It's a process, but I love when it's done! Maybe this weekend....it always feels like spring when the clocks change.
ReplyDeleteIt really does look fresh and bright! I really like your pillows . . . and those "golden" touches!!
ReplyDeleteCourtney, I love all that you have done. The colors are very refreshing. The pretty boy at the end is a pure golden moment!!..Happy Wednesday..Judy
ReplyDeleteLove it all! Your house and decorating style is so fresh, inviting and welcoming.
ReplyDeleteYou are so far ahead of me with spring decorating! I have been so involved in a school event that I haven't done much around the house. I guess there are only so many hours in the day! I love all your decorating. Everything really does feel so fresh!
