My family's very favorite early fall tradition is our annual trip to pick apples on a farm in Vermont. The beautiful mountain and Lake Champlain views, together with fresh and delicious crisp apples make for a great day. It is also a great opportunity to take pictures. This year, I used some of the pictures taken with a Fujifilm INSTAX mini 70 camera to create an apple picking themed mantel display in our living room. We are having so much fun with the Fujifilm INSTAX camera. I just love the retro feel of this camera. Even more importantly, I appreciate that I immediately have prints to use in my home decor and for crafts.
The Fujifilm INSTAX camera provides instant photos anytime anywhere. It is easy to carry everywhere, which is a great advantage to me. I find that always toting around my bulky and expensive DSLR camera to be cumbersome when we are enjoying an activity like apple picking. The INSTAX is a good size to fit in a purse of small tote bag. Fujifilm INSTAX makes it easy to capture the perfect photo every time.
The INSTAX Mini 70 is Fujifilm's newest addition to their line of instant cameras. It includes an updated camera design, improved picture quality, especially in dark scenes, new selfie mode with selfie mirror and a tripod socket. My son had a blast using the selfie feature. I think it is so cool that this timely feature has been added.
I appreciate having prints to use immediately. So many of my photos end up stuck in digital form forever. The INSTAX makes it easier to have photos ready to display around my home. For this display, I simply tied twine onto the ends of a piece of driftwood that we brought home from the beach this summer. Then I used small clothespins (available at craft stores) to hang the pictures. I will be able to change up the look with the seasons easily.
We even had fun adding some captions to the bottom of the pictures. This display has been an interesting focal point for our guests too.
You can find out more about this nifty little camera on Fujifilm's website.

First, so glad to see you online again after a summer break. :) Exciting contest. I planned on buying one of these to take little photos from around the house and use them in my daughters lunchbox as her lunch "note" for preschool {since she can't read yet}. :) Also, our favorite Fall activity would be 2 things... going to the pumpkin farm that is right up the block for hayrides and pumpkins & second would be to go to the NC mountains and go apple picking at our favorite apple farm. :)
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun camera! My favorite fall activity is going outdoors to enjoy the cooler temps and beautiful colors!
ReplyDeleteI like visiting the apple orchard.

Love this new mini camera from Fujifilm! I use a Fujifilm FinePix S for a lot of my blog posts and it has been super reliable. Our family went apple picking at a farm here in Wisconsin a few weeks ago too - I now have lots of homemade applesauce and chopped apples for pies in my freezer! My favorite fall activity to do this time of year is taking a Sunday afternoon drive through the country to take in all the amazing yellow, orange and red foliage...its just breathtaking!

ReplyDeleteWe have our own apple tree covered in apples this year, so we're going to have our own back yard apple picking party!
ReplyDeleteI love the pumpkin patch, taking a hayride to the patch and then spending an hour or so finding the absolute best one to take home, followed, of course, with hot cider and carving that big ole pumpkin. It's a great way to spend a sunny fall day with my daughter and grandson.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite fall activity is wrapping up in a blanket and sitting by the firepit. I try to keep the summer going by indulging in a few end-of-season s'mores.
ReplyDeleteI love going to the pumpkin patch and drinking hot apple cider! I seriously love everything fall!
ReplyDeletewe love our family apple day where we pick at a local farm and then bake pies, apple crisp, and a pot of cinnamon applesauce....it's a fun day all around
ReplyDeleteKnitting is my all time favorite fall activity. Knitting Christmas gifts, shawls, socks, cardigans, etc. There's nothing quite like the feel of a yarn made of cashmere, alpaca or fine merino wool.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite fall activity is taking my kids apple picking up at Greenbluff Farms and taking the hay ride. Apple cider and apple pie. This year we harvest apples from grandmas farm and the whole family got involved. Good fun!
