I bought 3 rolls of plaid ribbon at A.C. Moore at 60% off and made the simple bows myself. We didn't add lights to the front of the house at all this year, but we did add spot lights to highlight the wreaths at night. I like a clean and classic look for our outdoor Christmas decor.
Over the front door, we strung the word "peace" (spelled out with spray painted wooden letters from Michaels) from some fresh garland that we purchased at Home Depot. Being married to a police officer, peace is my greatest wish from all the craziness that is happening in our world right now.
Let's head around to the back of our house where we also added some festive touches to our covered patio. The weather has been unseasonably warm here in NJ so we have actually been enjoying this space even more than I hoped we would.
Keeper is peeking out the back door at me. She is probably wondering why I didn't have her come out and pose for pictures. Anything for a treat!
Can you guess what she was staring up at when I opened the door?
Happy Holidays!! I hope you get all the treats you are wishing for this year!
Though I live in Texas I'm originally from NJ. I was there last week and it was very unseasonably warm for December. I look forward to your posts and pictures. Your home is beautiful, but most important, warm and cozy. Thank you for sharing it. Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI hope you had a great visit to NJ!! Thank you so much for visiting my blog. Warm & cozy are my 2 favorite words to hear about our home :) Merry Christmas to you and yours too!
DeleteEverything you create is so beautiful, Courtney. I love all the extra special touches you add to make it festive. Just gorgeous! Hugs for a happy day, CoCo
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, CoCo!! I hope you are enjoying the season too.
DeleteYour outdoor areas look gorgeous! We have never done wreaths on the windows but I always love the look. Nice to still be using the outdoor area although I kind of wish it would get cold so it would SNOW!!! Of course we bought season ski lift tickets this year..ugh! Even Vermont is warm! Love the pictures of Keeper!

Your outdoor winter wonderland is gorgeous for the holidays. Looks so beautiful. We are warm here too and no snow for Christmas. I would like to see the white stuff for Christmas and then it can go away lol! It feels more like Easter than Christmas this year. Although today it is only 39 so we are getting colder just no snow.
ReplyDeleteHave a great rest of the week.
Kris
Your house is ready for Christmas. It looks amazing! The only missing thing is the snow:-( But here in Poland we also don't have any snow and the temperature is 50F so there's no chance for White Christmas this year:-(
ReplyDeleteGreetings:-)
Thank you. No chance for a white Christmas here either :( Holiday greetings to you and yours too :)

DeleteDoo beautiful, give Keeper a treat n kiss from me! Merry Christmas Courtney
ReplyDeleteThe front of your house looks fantastic! Very festive. I wish I had known how inexpensive the wreaths were at Costco. I used to do them on my windows until they went up to $45, even from the Boy Scouts! I'll have to look for this deal next year. I love that you spelled out Peace on your door...we are certainly experiencing big issues here in Chicago. It saddens me because we live in a neighborhood with a huge population of police and firefighters and we respect and support each and every one of them.
ReplyDeleteI love your back porch!! So nice that you can have your wicker and cushions out at this time of year. And Keeper, you gave him the right name!!
Merry Christmas, Courtney!
