Fall is always my favorite season and our family room is my favorite spot to decorate for fall each year. Welcome!
I started planning our fall family room way back in the spring when I found 2 vintage paint by numbers at one of my favorite "junkin" spots in the Adirondacks. The colors are perfect for fall.
The round mirror is actually a tray that I found at HomeGoods last year. I added a swag of colorful oak leaves and acorns to add some more fall color, also from HomeGoods.
The colors in this room are so fall-like year round that I only need to make a few changes. This is our first Autumn with the striped Ikea Kattrup rug and I love the way it ties all the colors together. I can't wait to have our first fire of the season right here.
I didn't make any changes to the gallery wall. I added my favorite fall quilt to the back of the sofa and brought up some pillows from storage in the basement.
Our entryway has a few changes for fall. I switched out the red cabinet for Billy's grandmother's cedar chest. I had forgotten we had it and found it in the corner of our basement.
I kept the entryway chalkboard simple this year with a wheat wreath from HomeGoods and just the word "harvest".
I hope you enjoyed a peek inside our family room and entryway. Next, we will head upstairs to the kitchen and living room. But I need to finish decorating that area first :)

DeleteYour family room and entry are beautiful, Courtney, and so nicely decorated for Fall. This room has appealed to me since the first time I saw photos of it (I believe it was a Christmas tour) and the Fall decor is the crowning touch. The family cedar chest is a beautiful piece too. The pillows look lovely on your leather seating and I am especiially enjoying the pair of wreaths on the french doors. Thanks for the tour and I'm off to see part 2. Pinning too.
