Mixing Colors and Patterns in the Bedroom with JCPenney & A Giveaway!

When it comes to home decor, mixing colors and patterns is just about my favorite way to add personality and my own unique stamp to a room.  This week, our master bedroom got a whole new look.  Lately, I have been loving the color combination of deep blue mixed with a bit of orange and I decided to make that the inspiration for our new bedding.  When I spotted the Adana bedding from The Eva Longoria home™ collection at JCPenney, I knew it would be the perfect starting point.

To get started on this makeover, I first chose the comforter set.  Keeping in mind that I wanted to add some orange, I set out to find some new accessories.  I added the geometric frame and orange and white beaded throw pillow to lend a pop of color.  All items are part of the JCPenney Home collection and can be purchased online.  

I love the convenience and affordability that this comforter set brings.  As soon as I felt the fabric, I recognized the great quality.  Not only does it look great, the material is very soft and comfortable too.  The set makes it easy to create a coordinated look. With a few accessories for added interest, you can easily create a look all of your own. 

The Eva Longoria home™ collection is inspired by her travel around the world.  It is inspired by Moroccan lattice, the deep blue Mediterranean Sea, the serene lavender fields in Spain, and ornate Moorish tiles.  Here's a look at another beautiful ensemble, the Marrakech.  I just love the throw pillows that coordinate with that set.

For our bedroom, I thought the blue and white would tie in with the rest of our room best.
