Welcome to our bright and sunny spring kitchen!
I think tulips are a must for this time of year, but I do wish they lasted a bit longer.
I took a few shots with a wide angle lens to show perspective on where these rooms are in respect to each other. This is looking into our kitchen at the back of our "Ikea Hack" kitchen island and into the kitchen:
I've mentioned many times before about my love of dish towels :) This one is from Target, as is the rug in front of the sink.
I have been looking for just the right something for the mantel shelf over our range and I haven't quite found it yet. Not a bad thing, I enjoy having something to shop for :) Until then, I have a few kitchen knick-knacks up there. That outdoor candle chandelier is still hanging. Not sure when we will get around to tackling the lighting over the island, but it is definitely on our to-do list along with a planked ceiling. Maybe.
Still using that wire basket for our paper plates and lunch bags...
And one more wide angle shot for perpective...the doorway you see straight ahead leads down to our family room. The stairs on the right lead down to our front entryway, which also opens to our family room.
Tomorrow, I will share some more pictures of the other side of this space, our living room. I hope you'll stop back.
Okay Courtney, maybe we might be sisters... lol. At least in decor. I feel right at home in your spaces. I love it that like you, we have lived in feeling homes. It is BEAUTIFUL, but still comfortable. I love it that you have your paper towels, toaster, sugar.... everything within reach. Not super staged, a do-not-touch house. I love your shares, so glad we connected. xxx...
ReplyDeleteHi Brooke, Thanks so much! I agree, your home feels like a real home to me too, and those are my favorite kinds of blogs to visit :) Have a great day!
DeleteI agree with Brooke! Your home reflects your own style and looks like it's made to be lived in. I can see that decorating your home is a passion for you. I absolutely love the glass cabinet that holds your dishes, and I freaked when I saw your stove. I am a cooking nut! I wish we had room for a big stove and oven.
ReplyDeleteLove the tulips, too! :)

Thanks so much, Jane. I definitely never want to make my home feel like a showplace, so your comment just made my day :) As for my stove, it was a splurge last year and I absolutely love cooking on it for my family. Hopefully, we can exchange some recipes.
DeleteLooooove! Just Looooove! So pretty Courtney. Love that bright and open kitchen.

Thanks Kris! I just love spending time in the kitchen and it is especially bright at this time of year before all of the trees fill in.
DeleteLove your farmhouse sink and faucet! Your wood floors are beautiful too. Looking forward to seeing more of your beautiful home.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Rebecca! I look forward to sharing more of our home :)

ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Judy! I just love spending time in my kitchen. Since I love to cook, it makes sense to keep as many “tools” as possible within easy reach.
DeleteYou have such a lovely home, Courtney...I love seeing the different views. So many personal touches and inspirational ideas!
ReplyDeleteYour kitchen is a dream. I like the colors, sink, and even the towels.
