We have officially enjoyed some spring-like temperatures in NJ this week, so I thought I would add a few spring touches to the very first place our visitors see, our entryway.
Welcome!
I added some spring-y chalk art to the chalkboard in here. I also hung a cheery spring wreath that
I made last year. It was so easy to make and you can read more about it here.
With all of the snow that we have had melting this week, those green mud/rain boots have definitely been put to good use.
I added a bunch of faux flowers to the mail basket that we keep hanging on the these hooks. I simply wrapped the bouquet in a trimmed brown paper lunch bag and tied some twine around it. Hopefully, I will get to use those gardening tools soon.
The view of our entryway from the living room...
And through the french doors into our family room.
Are you as excited about spring as we are? It's March in NJ so we certainly haven't seen the last of the cold temps for this year, but even just a few warm days gives up hope of what is to come after a long, frigid winter.
Courtney,
ReplyDeleteLove your entry way. So cheerful and welcoming. We are hitting in the 60's here in Chicago too. It has been so wonderful. We are going to get a little colder next week but not by much so I am enjoying this Spring like weather while it lasts. Have a great week end.
Kris
Hi Kris,
DeleteThanks! Supposed to get a but colder here too next week, but I am so glad to have at least gotten a taste of spring. Although my son is upset because he thought he could wear shorts from here on out because we had one day that was warm enough. Have a great weekend! Courtney
Love it Courtney! We just remodeled first floor. Hoping you will post your Spring kitchen and living room soon. I am getting lots of great ideas from you. I can't do mine until you do yours! LOL. Where did you get your wire basket hanging on the hooks in entryway?
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Kelly! I am finishing up my spring posts this weekend so I will have them up starting Monday. So glad to know you are looking forward to them :) The wire basket is from HomeGoods. Have a great weekend!!
DeleteSo pretty, Courtney! Your welcoming entry says "happy spring" to me! Our snow is gone with temps in the 60s...very early for Minnesota! Hope you have a lovely weekend!
ReplyDeleteThanks Linda! Still waiting for all our snow to melt here. Wow! 60's in Minnesota...enjoy!! Have a great weekend.
DeleteThis is so cute, Courtney I love the mail basket idea! Everything is so colorful and welcoming! We've had temps in the 50's here in Illinois and it makes me want to bring out some brighter colors. Soon it will be all about getting outdoors so we better tweak inside first!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Weekend!
Jane xx
Hi Jane,
DeleteThanks! I am so ready to get outdoors, but there is always so much work to get things cleaned up out there after such a rough winter. Hope you are enjoying your warmer weather. Have a great weekend!
Courtney
Courtney, I really love all of you beautiful Spring touches. Thanks for the inspiration. I would love to have you see my Spring touches. Stop on by for a visit! Jo
ReplyDeleteThanks Jo! I am on my way to check out spring at your place. Happy weekend!
DeleteSo pretty and I love the pop of color. The red and aqua is striking. It is cold and rainy here, but some of my bulbs are coming up... spring is near! xx...
ReplyDeleteThanks Brooke! There is nothing like that little glimpse of spring when the bulbs pop up, right? Hoping to see that here soon once all of the snow melts. We are getting there. Have a great weekend!
DeleteYou've got a lovely Spring entryway, Courtney! Love the rain boots and your brown bag flowers in the basket. I'm glad to hear you had a decent week this past week. We did, too, and I'm hoping it keeps up!
ReplyDeleteHi Kathy,
DeleteThank you. Those first early spring days are just the best, aren’t they? Hope you are having a great weekend!
Courtney
Courtney...I just love your home, so warm and inviting. We have needed some rain boots here in Illinois too....our snow is nearly gone and has left a muddy mess behind! wish I had some cute boots like yours! Have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteHi Andrea. I just love those rain boots. I resisted buying them because I thought they were a fad, but I have had them for about a year now and I wear them all the time. They really are useful! Happy weekend :)
DeleteCourtney, you have fixed up your entry to greet spring, that's for sure. Love the wreath and the blackboard greeting and especially the little mail basket. What a great idea..Happy Weekend..Judy
ReplyDeleteThanks Judy. I am so happy to greet spring. Happy Weekend to you too!!
