Much to the dismay of my winter sports loving family, we have not had much snow here in NJ or in the Adirondacks Mountains this year. But that is all about to change. There is a blizzard forecasted for us over the next couple of days. I decided to add some winter chalk art to the chalkboard in our entryway along with a scarf for the deer head.
In our living room, I picked up a couple of new pillow covers from Ikea in an aqua color. I love how affordable and washable these pillow covers are. Oh, and I picked up so more bean bag filling at Kmart and brought our Target pouf back to life. This pouf has a zippered opening on the bottom so I was able to just add some more filling.
The pillows coordinate with the tufted barstools we got at Target last year. These barstools are holding up so well after a year of daily use.
I have mentioned a couple of times how comfortable the Stocksund chair is from Ikea. It is also the perfect size for a large dog to take a nap :)
I added a fun Valentine's Day banner up in our bedroom too. I found it in the dollar spot at Target and it makes me smile each time I walk into our room.
I love looking at the photos of your home and spying items from Target that I've also liked! I do love that store. Stay safe in the snowstorm, we're on the outskirts, and not expecting much impact.
ReplyDeleteThanks Karen! You stay safe and warm too!!
DeleteYes, are you ready for this storm?!! Originally, they were going to give us an early dismissal today but I got that 5 am call this morning that they cancelled instead. My 11 year old is already outside shoveling. He's in for a rude awakening if he thinks he's going to keep up with this storm! Hope your boys enjoy it too! Your house looks gorgeous as always. I love the colors in there with all the winter touches...and of course a golden in a chair always makes it perfect! Stay warm!

We were hoping for snow, but not this much all at once!! My kids have an early dismissal today. It has been snowing all morning but not sticking yet. My oldest son works with a friend of ours who has a residential plowing business. I am so worried about him shoveling THIS much snow :( You guys enjoy the snow (especially Rosie) and stay safe and warm too!

ReplyDeleteThe blue glass lamp is from Target.
DeleteAhhh, the wonderful world of Target. I love that lamp. Hope the Targets in my area carry it.
DeleteCourtney,
ReplyDeleteHope you do well with all that snow headed to you today. Stay warm and cozy inside. Love all your winter touches and I think your sweet boy has the right idea to stay in and take a nice nap lol! Stay safe and warm.

Hi Kris,
DeleteI hope we don’t get quite as much snow as they are saying, but we’ll see what mother nature has in store for us. You stay warm too!

ReplyDeleteThanks! It is from Target.
DeleteCourtney, your home is always so pretty! You must have a WAY better Target than what we have. The dollar spot in ours is horribly junky! I did buy my first lamp at Target last week after seeing your goodies from there. I'm hoping to go on a more regular basis to snatch up some good stuff. Be safe in the snow storm, we are only getting about 1-3 inches here in Central Illinois.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the kind words about our home!! We have several Targets near our house and some are better than others, especially the dollar spots. Hopefully, this storm won’t end up being as bad as they have predicted. Stay warm in Illinois too!

Hi Courtney. I read about your blizzard coming this morning in the newspaper. Hope you stay all warm. Your home looks so pretty with the touches of the blue and that big dog really does look comfortable. If it's good enough for him than it must be a good chair!..Happy Monday..Judy
ReplyDeleteHey, Courtney, stay safe and warm!!! I have one question...where did you find the large, round basket on the shelf of your cocktail table? I love it and have been looking for a very large one like it.
ReplyDeleteYour home is so beautiful and I now find myself heading to target to look at lamps and accessories before I go anywhere else.
Hi Susan! The basket under the table is the beachcomber basket from Pottery Barn. I love buying lamps and accessories at Target too. They really have such nice stuff at great prices. I like to change things often so Target's prices are good for that ;)
DeleteThank you so much for the kind reply. I thought it was the Beachcomber basket, but had never seen one in a home setting, so I was unsure if that was it or not. I love the size of it!! Thanks for all the Target tips, too!!! I LOVE your blog!! Have a great day!!
DeleteLove it all!! Your home looks so warm and inviting Courtney. If I were your neighbor I would be knocking on the door all the time!;)
ReplyDeleteCourtney....your home is so pretty and I love that you have color in it....and that you shop Target and Ikea.....like the rest of us! I have thought about purchasing that Ikea chair since I first saw it on your blog....what a testimonial that your dog loves it! It must be comfortable! Stay warm and safe!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThat Ikea chair definitely gets a lot of use! I love shopping at places like Ikea and Target because I like to change things up quite often so their prices make that possible. Thank you!!
DeleteWhere did you get the bright floral pillows on your bed?
ReplyDeleteYour home is stunning! So warm and welcoming but still beautiful, I love the pops of blue. I live in the Mid West and we have been a little less with snow this year. Fine by me, I am not a fan of winter and the quicker we can get it over with the better. I decorated my home for winter because I just cant go all spring yet when it is so cold. I am waiting!
