Happy October! Have the leaves started changing where you are? In the Adirondack Mountains of Upstate NY, the leaves were at their peak this past weekend. It was glorious! It never ceases to amaze me how breathtakingly beautiful everything turns this time of year.
We arrived from NJ along with the Indian Summer weather. Although we packed flannels and boots, the temperatures were warm enough for a boat ride. In shorts and bathing suits.
This yellow house is one of my favorites on the lake and it looked especially pretty in the fall light.
Up in the mountains, the colors were spectacular.
My oldest has his driving permit and he enjoys driving anywhere and everywhere. We were the perfect team...he drove and I took pictures.
We spotted these pumpkins for sale at a local orchard.
We picked apples in Vermont.
I think the red leaves are definitely my favorite...
And then I see the yellow, and I am not quite sure..
But add a birch tree and that is definitely my favorite.
It is always hard for us to leave the mountains, but it is especially hard this time of year. Fall...I love you most of all :)
Your pictures are so beautiful it almost hurts! We don't have much color yet--I live in Nebraska now--but having grown up in California, I'm just glad we get any fall color! I'll have to visit this area one fall. Just breathtaking!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Ellie! I hope you get to see some pretty fall color in Nebraska this year.
DeleteOMG those colors are spectacular! You really took some beautiful pictures!
