Hello and Happy Monday! I hope you guys are doing well. Things around here have been busy with the start of the school and all of the activities that come along with that. We are sad to be closing up our pool this week, especially Keeper. She spends the most time in the pool. Matthew taught her to dive off the diving board this summer...
Keeper also spent lots of time diving to the bottom of the pool for a lacrosse ball. I got a Lifeproof case for my iPhone this summer and we were able to use it to take underwater photos. We spent hours taking pool pictures :)
She would play all day, but when we get tired of throwing her ball, she relaxes in "her" raft. I actually bought the raft for me, but she claimed it as her own at the beginning of the summer and that was that. Girls!
Our other dog, Forrest, is a bit older and much calmer, although he does his own fair share of swimming. Here he is relaxing with Matty.
And Billy and Forrest at the lake at the end of summer. We are hoping to get to take another boat ride or two but we will have to see what the weather brings. Boating season always feels too short.
Around the house, we are starting to get ready for fall. Enough leaves have already fallen in NJ that we needed to mow them up this weekend. There may have been a bit of a run in with the mower and the mailbox. The mower won, which is a good thing because it would cost a lot more to replace. A new mailbox post is on our to-do list for this week.
Also on the to do-list is some fall decorating. I am loving these velvet pumpkins I picked up at Marshalls last week.
Other than those, I am planning to keep things a bit simpler this year. I worked on the mantel...
But I have already changed it. Twice. And I re-arranged the furniture so the fireplace is more of a focal point. My life was so much simpler before Pinterest gave me so many ideas!! Later this week, I will start posting some fall decor. Are you starting to decorate for fall?
Awwww.... Posts about the "Pups" get me every time..... Very excited to see what your fall ideas will be.... Your mantle from last year is still hanging out over on my Pinterest page!!!! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Terri! We are a bit obsessed with our dogs :) I can't wait to start sharing some of my fall decor...I am working on that now. Have a great week!
DeleteHow sweet is that photo of Forrest and Matty?! I hope you have that framed somewhere in your home! My style tends to be a bit more tailored/sparkly, but I am enjoying oogling your decor posts. It just screams, "WELCOME HOME." Love!
