Hello and Happy Monday! I am so happy to be back to a routine around here now that school has started. So far, everyone is happy with their teachers so we are off to a good start to the school year. Phew! Here is my youngest on the first day. Confession: I took this picture after school. Don't judge, he is our third kid after all :)
Billy happened to finish working midnights on the first day of school, so after dropping Matthew off at 4th grade, we headed to Ikea. I hadn't been to Ikea in months and was excited to check out some stuff from the new catalog that came out in July. We had planned on attending the launch for the Ikea catalog in NYC this summer, but were disappointed that it didn't end up working out with our crazy summer schedule. We posted a picture on Instagram on our way in. I am *trying* to get better at posting more consistently on Instagram. I would love to connect on Instagram if you are there...you can find me here.
The first thing I saw in the catalog and just knew I had to have were these towels. I have been looking for a way to add a pop of color to our master bathroom and these seem to fit my style perfectly. They are $6.99 each. Love!
I picked up this plaid throw for the living room. I also picked up a few more white throw pillow covers. For $4, they are perfect for getting crafty with some stencils and fabric paints like I did on the "home sweet home" pillow.
I also purchased this oh-so-popular black and white pillow. I was feeling left out as the only blogger out there without one :)
At the store, I was loving this island. I can't use it, but I sure hope somebody can. It's such a great value with the butcher block counter and stainless shelves. Billy and I always drool over the Ikea kitchens and how many options they offer to a DIYer. Our next kitchen will definitely be from Ikea.
Our other purchases that day included some baskets for our family room wall unit and a pillow cover for our bedroom upstate. Are you a fan of shopping at Ikea? I would love to hear about some of your favorites as I am always on the hunt for new ideas for their products!
*PS: This is NOT a sponsored post. We just heart Ikea.*

Great picks!
