I LOVE decorating our home for Fall. I think it is my favorite season because the colors of Autumn blend so well with the colors in our house. Come on in!...
We'll start at the foyer, peeking into the family room.
Straight ahead, you will see our gallery wall. I traded out a picture on the ledge for an oil painting that belonged to my parents. My favorite Yankee candle (for this year, anyway) is burning. It is called Autumn Sky.
Our stone fireplace decorated for Fall. Once the weather gets a bit cooler, we have fires everyday. Our firewood is stacked just outside the mudroom door waiting for the first chilly evening.
I made the sign above the fireplace and wrote a tutorial for it here. Here's a post just about the mantle.
We recently replaced the indoor/outdoor carpet we had purchased for this room last year with this softer one. The indoor/outdoor rug was very durable with the dogs (and kids), but it was rough underfoot and made the room feel cold. Everyone is much happier with this rug.
Looking back towards the foyer, I like the combo of orange with the blue painted walls.
Thank you so much for stopping by! I will be posting pictures of the kitchen/dining/living room later in the week. Please stop back.
A big shout out to my favorite reader of this blog. He is my biggest supporter (if only he could stay 8 forever!) and helped me with these photographs. It was his suggestion to light all the candles. Thanks Matty!!
Come see Part Two of our Fall Home Tour here or Our Fall Mantel here. The tutorial for the pallet sign is here.

So lovely and inspiring!
ReplyDeleteThanks Nora :)
DeleteYour house is beautifully done for Autumn. I love all your little touches. Did you make that maple leaf quilt on the sofa or did you buy it?
ReplyDeleteLucky you to have such a wonderful helper. :)
Thanks, Cheryl! I bought the quilt about 7 years ago at Kohls. Every year I look to see if they have anything similar and they haven't so far.
DeleteHave a great day!
Wow Courtney - it looks A-Mazing!! Your home suits autumn decor so perfectly - it feels so cozy and warm and I want to curl up with a blanket and a pumpkin spice latte in front of your gorgeous fireplace and admire the mantel. Awesome! Pinning...

DeleteJust visiting fro the Happy Housie where she shared your awesome mantel. This entire room feels so welcoming and inviting. The perfect room to curl up with a book on a chilly fall day. You have a wonderful eye for all the little details and small touches that you can make to finish a room - from the throw on the edge of the fireplace to the wreath on the french doors. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThanks for noticing all those details, Amanda! Thanks for stopping by :)
DeleteHave a great weekend,
Courtney
Just found your blog and am enjoying perusing your recent posts. As I look at all your pictures, I can't help but notice your interior doors because I'm currently in the process of replacing all of our skinny brown trim with on our windows and doors with the same trim as you've done! I'm thinking you must have also replaced all of your interior doors, which is something I'm researching now.
ReplyDeleteAssuming you did replace your doors, I'm curious if you replaced them yourselves and whether you got pre-hung and replaced the entire frame or if you just bought door slabs and replaced just the doors? I'm vacillating between which we should do, so any input you might have would be much appreciated!
I love your home--so very cozy! My youngest girl is my biggest helper/supporter too--isn't it great? Have a super week. Dee :)
