When my middle and youngest boys decided this summer that they would prefer to each have their own room rather than share a room, I tried to come up with some affordable ways to personalize each of their spaces. I made this pillow from some burlap and a stencil. Here's how I did it....
First, I gathered a couple of awesome stencils that DecoArt sent me when I completed the Personalized Memo Board for my younger guy's room. These are the stencil I used:
I grabbed a piece of burlap that I purchased at AC Moore and taped the stencil on. I then stenciled the border and 2 lines on both the top and bottom. Then I added his initial with a stencil.
After the front was stenciled and the paint was dry, I used stitch witchery to join the front and back of the pillow with an iron. I used the no sew envelope method to create the opening.
Finally, here is the pillow on his bed. I like the personalized touch it adds.
I love this Courtney - the painted monogram looks awesome!!
